Product Review – Gia Skincare
January 29, 2011 No Comments

I recently had the opportunity to test a few skincare products. This is always a treat, because there are so many wonderful advances in skincare, it’s nice to know – and share – the ‘latest and greatest’.
The product line is Gia Skincare.
According to Gia, of Gia Skincare -
” I wanted to create a professional skin care line by using “proven ingredients” that would also give that “spa sense” feeling at home or having a facial treatment in a spa. Gia Skincare Products invests in quality ingredients and affordability, not needless packaging that can harm the environment. All of our products are recyclable and never tested on animals. I am absolutely passionate about developing skincare products that are highly recommended and used in practice by licensed skin professionals.”
I, personally, only tested 3 products from their extensive line; the moisturizer, skin polisher and eye cream.
The feature that made the biggest impact on me, was the fragrance, which was a delight to the senses. It was like aromatherapy for the skin!
Each product has a light, delicious fragrance – smelling of fruit and other natural ingredients.
Strawberry Skin Polish
The Strawberry Skin Polish smelled like a bowl of fresh, ripe berries. The micro-particles were gentle enough to my skin, I could easily using the product nightly without fear of irritation. I enjoyed the rich, creamy texture of the product, as well.
The results?
My face felt smoother, cleaner and refreshed.
According to Gia Skincare, the product “dislodges dirt, oil and dead skin cells with a blend of Strawberry Oil and Jojoba Beads; it renews and refreshes skin.
Although I only had enough product to last a few nights, I think regular use of it would keep skin beautifully exfoliated and ‘polished’.
Cool As A Cucumber Eye Cream
This product delivered what its name implies – cool, refreshing, moisture.
And yes, it smells of sweet, ripe cucumbers.
My eye area felt supple and soothed. Once again, with only enough sample to last a few days, I could not ascertain long time results, but I would imagine the product would help with skin elasticity.
According to Gia Skincare this product ” reduces puffiness and dark circles, smoothes and softens skin, and strengthens capillary walls.
I would also think it would be ‘relief and rescue’ for tired, puffy eyes.
G’s Favorite #9
The name, reminiscent of a song, is a moisture-potion for the skin.
Of particular note, again, the fragrance, which was not overly perfumed; it was fresh, light and natural.
I enjoyed the fact that this moisturizer was not heavy. It did not sit on my skin, but was absorbed instantly. My skin did not feel greasy; my make-up did not appear shiny or oily from it. According to Gia Skincare, this moisturizer “firms and tones delicate skin, stimulates cellular circulation and preserves moisture for greater elasticity.” With long term use, I would think this an excellent product to improve skin’s soft, supple texture and elasticity.
Would I recommend these products? My answer is a resounding “yes.”
The Gia Skincare line also includes a variety of other skincare products.
